Now that you have found Four Corners (at the north end of Loon Lake, where 292 crosses 395) you have a choice, depending on which side of the lake you want to get to. The map would suggest that the road around the lake, goes around the lake. This would be wrong. The road stops at the top of the panhandle. So if you are looking for some body or some place, you have to know if they are on the North, East, or South part of the lake. For some reason, the West side does not seem to exist.
If you are wanting to go to the East side, then at Four Corners, take 292 to the right. This becomes Garden Spot Road. Travel about 3 miles along it (East) till you get to a T intersection, with a Big Honking Map of the lake at the corner of the intersection. Turn Left. You are on East Deer Lake road. Travel 3 miles along that road, and you will be at what used to be Haney's Resort, but isn't any more. From this spot on, you are following the lake.
If you are wanting to go to the South side, you can take a road at Haney's along the south side of the lake, or keep on going to the North side of the lake, and then connect to that same road from there.
To get to the North Deer Lake Road, at Four Corners, keep on going about a mile, to where you see Agar Road go off to the right. Follow it along for a mile or so, till you get to a Stop Sign. Turn right. About a mile along that road you will see the lake. From that point you can turn right and get on the road that leads to the South Side of the lake. Or keep on going around the North Side of the lake.
