This is the area that I need the most help in. I cannot find anybody who is willing to come out to our area and fix a washing machine or a dryer. Spokane people have enough business that they do not need to travel that far.
There are also no appliance dealers in the immediate area that I am aware of. Appliance stores in Spokane laugh at you when you ask if they deliver.
If anybody has any suggestions or recommendations on this subject, please drop me a line.
Anyway, I do have two suggestions.
First, if you need parts for appliances because you laughingly think you can fix it yourself, I recommend
Appliance Parts Mart -- 926-8126
1513 N. Mullan, Spokane. Just south of the freeway on the Argonne exit. Their staff seems quite knowledgable, and if they don't have it, they will get it. From knobs to burners for stoves to barbequeueues.
If you are prepared to buy used appliances, I have bought a lot of stuff at
Appliance Warehouse -- 487-8209
N5302 Haven, Spokane, Wa 99207. Off Market in Hillyard. I have bought a lot of stuff here for our rental houses. And, essentially, what is a lake house but a free rental place for all your friends to drop in on? While this guy does not deliver, his prices are real cheap, he has a 30 day guarantee, and he is happy for you to bring your burned out unit to his parking lot where he will recycle it for free. He actually appears to be happy to take your old unit even if you did not buy a new one from him. Huge selection that seems to turn over in about two weeks.
